Introduction

Every year, programs such as STEP, Young Canada Works, and Canada Summer Jobs give students the chance to apply their skills, and learn new ones, at accredited heritage organizations across the country. Millet and District Museum, Archives and Visitor Services is one such accredited organization, welcoming students onto our team as museum assistants every summer.

The students who join the Millet Museum bring with them a variety of skills, perspectives, and life experiences. It takes a lot to run a museum, most of which the public never even sees. We all learn from each other, making the museum and our community stronger.

Our employees have gone on to work all over the province and the country. They’ve started businesses, travelled the world, and brought their skills to heritage organizations across Canada - and the Millet and District Museum has been a fundamental part of their journey. Join us as we share our stories and learn more about what goes on behind the scenes at our museum!
